Sri Lanka need 230runs from 50 overs to win the Cricket world cup cricket quarter final match playing against England. The winner of the quarter final match between England vs Sri Lanka will play against New Zealand in the Semi final match of World cup 2011. Sri Lank bowlers limited the score board to 229 and picked 6 wickets of England. Sri Lankan captain arranged his field with well planning to trap English batsmen. He got enough support from his bowlers and fielders. The fast bowler and yorker specialist Lasith Malinga and spinner all rounder Thilakaratne Dilshan bowled with class deliveries keeping good line and length. T. Dilshan returned the opening batsman of England team Andrew Strauss just for 5 runs. The team score of Eng was 29 that time during last ball of 7th over. England lost the second wicket in the form of Ian Bell after adding just two runs to their total score. Another opening batsman of England right handed Ian Bell aged 29 years was dismissed from his innings for 25 runs from 32 deliveries. Ian Bell was caught by Thilan Samaraveera in the bowling of Angelo Mathews. After the fall of second wicket Ravi Bopara and Jonathan Trott played care full and build up some partnership. But in the 27th over when the team score of England was 95 runs Muthaih Muralidaran won to close the innings of Ravi Bopara by a leg before wicket appeal and achieved the wicket. There after middle order batment Eoin Morgan and Jonathan Trott scored with singles and twos till the total score reach 186. Eng lost Eoin Morgan's wicket in the 43 over bowled by Lasith Malinga. The catch was taken by A. Mathews. The very next batsman Greame Swann was returned in the same over before opening his score card. Graeme Swann was made golden duck by LBW appeal by Ajenda Mendis. That was a strong beat from the Lankan side. Jonathan Trott played a great innings for Eng and scored 86 runs from 115 balls with 2 boundaries. Matt Prior scored 22 runs from 19 balls with 2 fours and remained unbeaten. Luke Wright face 3 balls of final overs and got 1 run and remained not out. Sri Lanka need to score 230 runs from 50 overs to enter semi final of the world cup cricket 2011. The winner of this match will play with New Zealand in the semi final match.
